چکیده
Phytoconstituents epigallocatechin gallate and withaferin A, found in Camellia sinensis (Kangra green tea) Withania sominifera (Ashwagandha) respectively, were explored for their binding affinity towards various enzymes involved the skin-aging process. Epigallocatechin A analyzed physiochemical properties, drug-likeness human intestinal absorptivity using Data Warrior, Molsoft SwissADME (boiled egg model) respectively. Molecular docking analysis different aging (collagenase, elastase hyaluronidase), antioxidant (superoxide dismutase, glutathione-s-transferase, glutathione peroxidase catalase) mitochondrial (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD)+hydrogen (H) dehydrogenase, succinate cytochrome c oxidase adenosine triphosphate synthase) was carried out alone (1), (2), combination (3) a reference molecule. Autodock Vina employed to carry individual molecular as well multiple ligand simultaneous docking. The results terms of energy interacting residues. Interestingly, displayed higher all compared (2) references. Moreover, constituents exhibited better most enzymes. Additionally, dynamics simulations performed estimate stability flexibility best complexes, while collagenase activity colorimetric assay study effects on collagenase. vitro indicated 1.5 times increase inhibition upon ascorbic acid (standard). Overall, indicate that combination, may potentially inhibit skin-aging, enhancing enzymes, warrant further experimental validation.

Beneficial Effects of Tea and the Green Tea Catechin Epigallocatechin-3-gallate on Obesity.
Green tea has been shown to have beneficial effects against cancer, obesity, atherosclerosis, diabetes, bacterial and viral infections, and dental caries. The catechin (-)-epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) has shown the highest biological activity among green tea catechins (GTCs) in most of the studies. While several epidemiological studies have shown the beneficial effects of tea and GTCs on o...
متن کاملThe medicinal action of androgens and green tea epigallocatechin gallate.
Unorthodox (non-traditional or alternative) medicinal practices have been expanding very rapidly in western countries. Modern physicians, scientists, and non-traditional medicine practitioners now must join forces to promote evidence-based medicine to benefit patients. Green tea extracts are among the most widely used ancient medicinal agents, while androgens are probably the oldest drugs used ...
متن کاملAnxiolytic properties of green tea polyphenol (-)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG).
Naturally occurring polyphenols are potent antioxidants. Some of these compounds are also ligands for the GABA(A) receptor benzodiazepine site. This feature endows them with sedative properties. Here, the anxiolytic activity of the green tea polyphenol (-)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) was investigated after acute administration in mice, using behavioral tests (elevated plus-maze and passive ...

Physiological concentrations of the green tea extract epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) caused growth inhibition in estrogen receptor α (ERα)-positive MCF7 cells that was associated with down-regulation of the ERα and reduced insulin-like growth factor binding protein-2 abundance and increased protein abundance of the tumor suppressor genes p53/p21. In contrast to MCF7 cells that have wt p53, E...

Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), a component extracted from green tea, has been proved to have multiple effects on human pathological and physiological processes, and its mechanisms are discrepant in cancer, vascularity, bone regeneration, and nervous system. Although there are multiple benefits associated with EGCG, more and more challenges are still needed to get through. For example, EGCG ...
